Hat Pins and Ribbon Pins

You can choose cloisonne pins, made from a cut die in the image and design you choose. Your image is stamped onto the sheet of copper and brass, and then cutting molds are made. Colors are fired individually to ensure that there is no bleeding. We can even use photographs.
Soft enamel hat pins and ribbon pins use indentations in the metal where the colors are hand inserted one at a time. The pins are then fired and an optional epoxy coating can be added to protect the colors from fading or cracking.
Die struck pins begin with making the die of your design. Then a sheet of copper or brass is stamped, creating the impression of your design. Molds are made separately, and the pins are cut out to the outline of the design shape. Plating is done next. The most common is gold on gold, but other metal plating such as silver and black nickel are available. The raised surfaces are highly polished to a luster finish while recessed areas are given a sandblasted look.
Offset digital pins use images transferred from a photographic negative. Photo etched pins, our most popular for promotional products, offer a similar look to the cloisonne pins, but are less expensive, and silk screen pins are popular when using exact replicas of logos.
